Those who follow politics in the United States may have read about the changes made recently to the dress code for Senators. As with every other issue these days, reaction was split along party lines.
But this isn’t about politics. As NAUMD network members know, how we dress telegraphs intricate messages to those around us, as well as to ourselves – messages we receive and interpret constantly, consciously or not. Uniforms, for example, reinforce a brand, and show everyone a company’s standards and values. Uniforms can also influence the performance of the wearer. Put simply, when you look good, you feel good, and do better.
