Sourcing Coordinator

Job Summary

The Sourcing Coordinator assists the company with meeting initial margin goals for all assigned products, while maintaining the integrity of the designs.  You will manage production and sourcing needs for all our uniform brands.  The Sourcing Coordinator focuses on maintaining quality standards, ensuring on-time delivery, and managing Works-In-Progress so that all calendar deliverables are met.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Partners closely with Product Development and Design teams to ensure vendor selection meets aesthetic, quality, cost goals, and is in line with the Sourcing Strategy.
  • Ensures that all approvals from Product Development and Tech Design have been received in a timely manner per our Time Action Calendar in order to maintain bulk delivery.
  • Tracks and monitors all costing information and bulk execution information.
  • Partners with our overseas operations teams to solve production/quality issues that may cause delays.
  • Works with Raw Materials Planner to ensure fabric and trim needs are aligned with finished goods PO’s.
  • Assesses vendor capability and capacity to effectively make product for the company.
  • Monitors order flow and margins at each vendor and ensure monthly replenishment POs on active categories are being sent to the most strategic vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business/Economics or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with production sourcing, product development, or merchandising in apparel required.
  • Strong working knowledge of production process, garment construction, and technical design.
  • Foundational understanding of global trade agreements and trade regulations.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot production issues and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in the Uniform industry highly valued.
  • Experience with SAP/CIMs or comparable MRP/ERP systems preferred.
