Manager of Sales Planning and Analytics

Job Summary

The Manager of Sales Planning and Analytics reports to the EVP of Sales and is responsible for leading the company’s efforts in creating tools and utilizing data to increase revenue, profitability as well as adding value through a fact based approach to business planning.  This role is the liaison between sales and the various internal departments.  He/She will work cross functionally with internal stakeholders to improve, develop, and advocate new opportunities to drive conversion across multiple channels and retailers.  This position turns data into information, sales stories, and insights to improve decision making and drive consistent profitable growth.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Leads the sales team’s efforts in forecasting by creating tools and utilizing point of sale so as to provide insights and recommendations regarding inventory needs.
  • Acts as the liaison between the sales organization and the Planning and Operations team to align sales and inventory.
  • Acts as the sales’ lead on monthly inventory consensus and S&OP Meetings.
  • Creates sales tools using available data/POS and publishes those tools on a regular basis.
  • This person must think outside the box utilizing all potential data sources to identify business building opportunities and white space.
  • Creates templates and dashboards for measuring KPI’s.
  • Owns CRM as the Sales Administrator for Salesforce.
  • Works cross functionally with Marketing/Design to create customer/sales presentations.
  • Acts as the gate-keeper/point person for Licensor “sales” required information.
  • Acts as the liaison between Sales and other corporate functions
  • Works directly with accounts on scorecard and POS analysis.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED Education/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) proficiency
  • Forecasting experience utilizing replenishment history and/or forecasting software
  • Experience in CRM Software a plus. Prior experience creating customized dashboards and KPI’s
  • Experience working with major retailers (Walmart/Amazon/Target)
  • Customer facing experience working with their specific portals (Retail Line/Partners online/etc.)
  • Ability to use data to build sales presentations and identify opportunities
  • Strong presentation skills
