Embellishment Engineer

JOB SUMMARY

The embellishment engineer manages all daily operations of the Embellishments department.  This role ensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently and on time, and that all relevant standards and guidelines are followed.  He or she must also demonstrate a commitment to teamwork and continuous improvement of processes and performance.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitors, maintains and develops specific, executable strategies to improve product flow, productivity and quality
  • Contributes to and supports all company programs and initiatives
  • Collaborates with other divisions to maintain and achieve goals
  • Selects and specifies the threads to be used for each design
  • Maintains updated record of all embroidery designs
  • Maintains workflow list and ensures all projects are completed by the time frame established
  • Provides direction to the distribution center team regarding sew-out and any embellishment issues.

QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s Degree preferred
  • Microsoft Word and Excel proficient, experience with MS Outlook, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience using embroidery programs
  • Experience with Fashion Layout, Multi-head Embroidery and Graphic Design preferred
