Job Summary
The Director of eCommerce Retail Sales is responsible for working directly with our retailers focused on developing strategies to build and optimize sales for our eCommerce partners. This position is responsible for leading and growing retail ecommerce as well as operationally supporting that growth through other service mechanisms e.g. Drop Ship. This role will lead account strategy, including marketing, promotional and merchandising strategies to drive account growth and penetration, as well as distribution broadly, online. This position will be a part of a highly collaborative, fast pace, hardworking team. This person needs to be high-energy and highly motivated. They need to be able to move quickly and comfortably between multiple tasks
Role and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing, promotional and merchandising strategies that successfully meet retail priorities and strategies.
- Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement new and innovative programs to increase our sales and brand share of shelf for all applicable product lines across the broad spectrum of our retail eCommerce footprint.
- Leads global retail eCommerce initiative, driving scalable partnerships with retail partners that transcend borders while doing what’s best for the bottom line and the brand, with an eye for where growth will be happening in the future. Work strategically to grow our global business.
- Lead tight partnerships with Marketing, Product and Sales to align digital media initiatives with retail eCommerce vision, channel strategies on down to flawless tactical execution.
- Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders to establish new ideas to support a scalable eCommerce program across the entire enterprise, and supporting implementation processes and guidelines. Partner with Division, Sales, Marketing, Sales Ops, IT and Product teams:
- To define technical and system requirements, delivery roadmaps, and go-forward support processes
- To analyze and design business processes aligning with industry best practices
- To define data strategy for the successful and efficient execution of sales and marketing programs at retail and to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Forecasts and budgets for a fast-growing segment of our business – will bring operational acumen to demand planning the eCommerce business. Creates quarterly reports, analyzes to report and track progress and set/adjust goals for future quarters.
- Coordinate brand development online in conjunction with marketing and brand teams, including social media, our DTC website and digital media/advertising efforts, as appropriate.
- Ability to provide strong guidance to internal teams and make recommendations that will impact the bottom line.
- Works closely with the planning and operations team to align sales and inventory.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED Education/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- A minimum of 5+ of responsibility directly managing ecommerce platforms in particular retail.
- Direct experience in Retail eCommerce (Amazon/Walmart.com); wholesale eCommerce; and/or experience as an eCommerce business manager.
- Experience in B2B2C Digital Marketing (AMS/WMX, etc.) a plus.
- Product Information Management experience.
- Full understanding of the entire eCommerce platform from set-up, site experience, merchandising, SEO, conversion, promotional methodology, etc.
- On-Line merchandising and catalog management experience
- Ability to use data to build sales presentations and identify opportunities
- Strong sales and presentation skills
