A new combat uniform for its personnel was unveiled last Saturday by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The first image of the so-called “digital camouflage uniform” was unveiled by Air Chief Marshal Vivek Ram Chaudhari during the Air Force’s 90th anniversary celebrations. The Air Force’s anniversary celebrations were held outside of Delhi for the first time ever.
The Indian Army also transitioned to a digital camouflage uniform for its personnel earlier this year. The older organic patterns have been replaced with pixelated designs in the new uniform, which is distinct from earlier iterations. Digital camouflage uniforms are now worn by the majority of combat forces and militaries worldwide. Regardless of the terrain, the new design pattern enables military personnel to move with greater flexibility.
