In the best badge or emblem category of last year’s Innovation Awards, VH Blackinton was recognized for its one-of-a-kind badge design. A combination of propriety chemical processes and digital printing helped create a completely customized coloring of an agency’s existing metal badge. Existing capabilities allow for either a single color or the coloring of panels only. No badge manufacturer has produced or markets a badge with these attributes. Competitors offer only single color or utilize stencil/hand masking methods that limit design freedom.
Blackinton was established in 1852 in Attleboro Falls, Massachusetts, and remains in the same community where it started. Leaning on its history and embracing change, especially in technology, has propelled the company to a market leader in the manufacturing of public safety badges and insignia.
