GALLS® Launches “Next Generation of Protectors” Award

Sep 22, 2025 | Public Safety

GALLS® has launched the “Next Generation of Protectors” awards program, a new initiative that recognizes 30 law enforcement officers under the age of 30 who are making a significant impact within their departments and communities. In partnership with Law Enforcement Today, the program is designed to honor the service, dedication, and drive of young officers who represent the future of the profession.

The “Next Generation of Protectors” awards provide an opportunity for departments and community members to highlight the exceptional work of rising stars who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty. By spotlighting these individuals, GALLS® aims to celebrate their commitment and share their inspiring stories with a national audience. The partnership with Law Enforcement Today illustrates both organizations’ desire to elevate support for the law enforcement community.

Nominations are now open and will be accepted until October 31. All nominees will automatically be considered for the National Law Enforcement Officer Hall of Fame’s Young Officer award, which will be presented in April 2026. GALLS® is proud to be the 2026 presenting sponsor of The National Law Enforcement Officer Hall of Fame in recognition of these deserving law enforcement individuals and their outstanding service. The selection will focus on officers who have demonstrated exemplary performance, leadership potential, and a deep commitment to the communities they serve.

“We are proud to launch the ‘Next Generation of Protectors’ award as a testament to the young men and women who are shaping the future of law enforcement,” said Mike Fadden, CEO of GALLS®. “Their passion and dedication are vital to building safer communities, and they deserve to be recognized for their contributions.”

Colleagues, supervisors, or community members who wish to acknowledge a deserving young officer can submit their nominations on the Next Generation of Protectors nominations page

The process is designed to be straightforward and encourage broad participation to ensure that these dedicated professionals receive the recognition they have earned. At the close of nominations, an independent board of law enforcement professionals will narrow the field to 30 for public voting. More information will be available for voting in November.
