The Renaissance Aruba is a resort in the Caribbean with a private island full of flamingos and natural reserve areas. This program has 150 wearers across both private island and food and beverage employees.
The property is known for its signature pink flamingos, and as such, the color pink is used in several designs created by Cintas. Fun prints and happy colors are used extensively throughout the program and are intended to evoke a carefree, relaxed mindset.
There are several unique design elements as well. The placement of an oversized bold pink “R” on aprons worn by restaurant staff highlights the brand in an unexpected way. Logos on other pieces help create a lasting impression and also serve as conversation pieces.
Of course, all garments are infused with performance features to provide comfort while supporting the work environment. A great example is the look created for the Renaissance Island Restaurant. Cintas selected a button-down shirt/blouse style that has moisture management, antimicrobial, and UV protection so that staff can be fashionable, stylish and comfortable.
The entry process for the 2024 Image of the Year Awards as well as NAUMD’s other recognition programs will open late fall. Check the website and keep reading The Pulse for updates, or contact rick.levine@naumd.com to learn more.
