NAUMD Awards Profile: McDonald’s

Jan 3, 2022 | Awards

The new McDonald’s crew program is the evolution of the 2017 program offering a fresh, modern look that was designed to support McDonald’s leadership as a modern progressive brand. The program, worn by 700,000 crew employees is comprised of performance fabrics and t-shirts that offer the comfort, moveability and durability required when working in a busy quick-service restaurant environment.

Twin Hill, McDonald’s uniform supplier, knows that comfort and care are of the highest importance to wearers, so they made sure that those key points were on the top of their list. In creating the fabrics, they ensured there were no opacity issues, a soil-release finish was added to reduce the appearance of stains, and that the aftercare was easy. Polyester mélange fabric was used for breathability, a stretch factor, and to create easy to wear easy to care garments. The most noticeable and comfortable advantage for the wearer would be the elasticity in the fabrics, which enables the garments to fit better with more flexibility.

The overall program is a more casual range, comprised of a graphic T-shirt, polos and a T-shirts made from performance fabrics, a maintenance polo with reflectivity for safety, and stylish denim jeans with stretch for ease of movement. To compliment the collection, accessories include a stretch mesh denim hat and visor as well as a denim hat and visor and a denim apron.
