Job Summary
The role of the Manager of Demand and Supply Planning is to oversee Forecasting, Inventory Management and Supply Planning of products, fabric and raw materials for all product lines. This role works closely with the Global Supply Chain team and Operations to provide the best service to our customers while maintaining Best-In-Class inventory turns and optimizing cost and operational efficiencies.
The ideal candidate is analytical, creative, IT-savvy and possesses the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple projects and tasks and hold meetings with different stakeholders to drive processes forward.
Role and Responsibilities
- Develops, streamlines and champions our brands
- Leads monthly planning cycles to collaborate with Category Management, Marketing, Business Leaders, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to adjust the forecast and reach consensus with all parties
- Manages demand forecasts for new product launches
- Oversees nearshore team of 2 – 3
- Collaborates with Sourcing and Inventory Management teams to reduce risk, eliminate constraints and decrease lead times on key items by optimizing inventory flow
- Creates and implements robust processes and industry best practices to drive forecasting accuracy
- Partners with inventory planners to control inventory costs while maximizing the customer experience
- Participates in or leads projects related to data driven supply chain optimization, planning system improvements, master data strategy and process automation
- Utilizes exceptional problem-solving and communication skills to influence business, operations and technical audiences
- Uses data and analytics to drive decision-making process across supply chain teams & senior leadership
- Defines, creates and reports on KPIs which measure the end-to-end health of supply chain planning & operations
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED Education/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Eng., Supply Chain, Logistics or equivalent experience
- Candidate must have basic Supply Chain, Inventory, S&OP Planning knowledge through work experience or coursework.
- 6+ years of professional experience in either of the following S&OP, Supply Chain Planning, Forecasting/Demand planning, and Logistics functions
- Experience working in Consumer products, Apparel, Fashion and Retail industry desirable.
- Hands on IT solutions exposure to ERP applications (such as SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, etc.) and Advanced Planning Systems is crucial
- Highly Proficient in Excel, comfortable with large data sets
Preferred qualifications
- SQL a plus
- APICS or SCM certifications a plus
