Over 100 companies, end users, and trade groups took part in this year’s National Uniform Day, and the creativity was as varied as the uniforms themselves. Only two years old, the celebration—sponsored by the Network Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors (NAUMD)—has already stretched across continents, reminding us that uniforms are more than fabric; they’re symbols of identity, service, and pride.
Observed every third Wednesday of September, the day honors the tens of millions of workers who gear up for essential jobs. As Logistik Unicorp put it, recognizing uniformed professionals also means shining a light on the people who design, produce, and distribute those garments.
This year, NAUMD and TRSA rolled out a video tribute capturing industries from healthcare to hospitality to manufacturing, spotlighting the quiet force that keeps our world running smoothly. But that was just the beginning. Galls filled its feeds with employee stories, while Carhartt Company Gear showed off rugged workwear in action. Edwards Garment highlighted its long-standing commitment to outfitting professionals, and ServiceWear Apparel joined the chorus with team photos and customer shout-outs. Gallagher Uniform and WM Uniform both leaned into local pride, posting tributes that connected their regional history with today’s workforce.
Some got especially inventive. Atlantic Constructors turned the spotlight on their crew with a dance video, and Cumbria Profiling in the UK used the day to roll out fresh uniforms. Medelita and Barco teamed up for TikTok fun with healthcare workers, while LION shared CEO Steve Schwartz’s reflection on the company’s journey from 1930s roots to its leadership in public safety gear. Cobmex, meanwhile, put its future focus forward by expanding scholarships for tomorrow’s designers.
And it wasn’t just companies—textile and apparel associations joined the fun this year too, giving the day a stronger industry chorus. TRSA not only co-produced the tribute video but also encouraged its members to take part. SEAMS, the National Council of Textile Organizations (NCTO), and the Americas Apparel Producers’ Network (AAPN) amplified the celebration across their networks, reminding everyone that behind every uniform is a textile, a mill, a designer, and a community of makers. Their participation underscored that the celebration is not only about the wearers but also about the full supply chain of expertise that keeps uniforms sharp, safe, and sustainable.
Other celebrants joined in from across the map: Cintas, National Safety Apparel, Roscoe Company, Lands’ End Outfitters, Clipper Corporation, and Capitol Uniform & Linen, each putting their own spin on recognition posts, team photos, and customer shout-outs. Even textile giants like Mount Vernon Mills, Milliken, and The LYCRA Company tipped their hats, proving the supply chain can celebrate too.
Uniform users joined as well: Quintex Services in the UK shared their pride, Boston Leather showcased craftsmanship, and GT Distributors honored public safety customers. Across industries, big or small, one theme came through loud and clear—uniforms aren’t just clothing, they’re connection.
From heartfelt tributes to playful videos, the 2025 celebration was as diverse as the uniforms it honored. And there’s more to see: take a look at scores of posts from across the world at nationaluniformday.com/celebration-posts and don’t miss the TRSA–NAUMD tribute video on YouTube.
