SanMar Corporation, a wholesale accessories and apparel supplier, announced last week that A4, a manufacturer of performance sports apparel, is joining SanMar’s team of industry brands as its largest nationwide distributor in 2025.
“This is an important step forward for A4,” shared Mark Mertens, A4 chief executive officer and owner. “For years we have operated in parallel with SanMar to grow the activewear market. Now, we are excited to be working together to accelerate that growth through new products, outstanding service, and improved speed to market.”
Mertens continued, “Importantly, A4 and SanMar are both family-owned companies that value our coworkers, suppliers, and customers equally. This is a great fit on many levels and portends a very bright future.”
The two businesses believe that together they will “best support and grow the channel’s need for performance sports apparel with a strong collection of 24 must-have styles.”
“We are always listening to our customers on what we can do to help their business, and we heard loud and clear that they wanted to see A4 at SanMar,” shared Steve Cuthbert, chief revenue officer at SanMar. “So we’ve taken the opportunity to bring our customers this valuable and reliable brand to help their business in the growing sports market.”
Launching in the spring, A4 will provide performance-minded stock uniforms in adult, women’s, and youth sizes. The collection will feature jerseys, tees, fleece, and shorts.
A4 will be available for purchase on SanMar.com in early 2025.
