Lisa Stewart Elected NAUMD Chair, First Woman to Lead Association

May 13, 2024 | People

A bit of history was made last week at NAUMD’s convention. At its annual meeting, the association’s board of directors named Lisa Stewart chairperson.  She is the first woman in the association’s 90-year history to lead the group.  Stewart succeeds Eldon Griggs of Galls, who remains on the executive committee as immediate past chair.

Stewart, a senior vice president Superior Group of Companies, will serve a two-year term.  Her previous leadership positions with NAUMD include vice chair, treasurer and member at large, as well as several committee assignments, including the Image Apparel Institute.

Also in a first, Natalie Wilson, founder of the United Kingdom’s Workwear Solutions, becomes the first non North American member to join the board of directors.  Wilson will join Michael Lowery, Motives International, and David Burnette, Lion Featuring Elbeco, as the newest members serving a two-year term on the board.

Christopher Collopy, Unisync Group, was named vice chair, and Jonathan Edberg, Cobmex, will serve as treasurer.
