This year’s Best Dressed Public Safety Department winner in the international category is the Israel Police, a department with over 30,000 members.  In collaboration with its uniform supplier, Spiewak, the department has adopted a 100 percent polyester Sorbtek Stretch EXS Ripstop uniform.

The program includes wear for Class A, and Class B units, as well as specialized uniforms for border control, Swat and Tactical operations.  There’s even a 100% cotton patrol uniform for those allergic to polyester. Infused with technology, the uniforms are 50 % lighter than previous outfits and feature tailored cuts for female police officers.

Colored in dark navy, the new uniforms have extra elements on the shirt for comfort, including a microphone clip, hidden pockets on the front for inserting a camera magnet, front closure with a zipper for sharp appearance, double needle seams, pockets on the shirt sleeve, and means of identifying the police officer on both the front and sides of the shirt.
