2025 Awards Profile: Vermont State Police, Spiewak, Inc.

Jun 16, 2025 | Awards

The Vermont State Police, rich in tradition and known for their distinctive image, partnered with Spiewak to update their uniform program for over 330 sworn personnel. The collaboration earned the department and Spiewak a best dressed public safety nod.

For over 40 years Vermont State Police had been wearing a 55/45 Poly Wool uniform. They wanted to change to a more functional, comfortable and easy care uniform. An expand-on demand adjustable trouser waistband provides the comfort troopers were seeking, as does the addition of styles specifically designed for female officers. To maintain their polished look, shirting features include a silicone grip retention system designed to keep shirt tails in, permanent military stitched creases and a hidden docket pocket that officers can access with ease.

The rollout was executed efficiently, with strong positive feedback from troopers. The new uniform successfully balances tradition with modern enhancements, ensuring Vermont State Police maintain their respected appearance while improving daily wear and functionality for officers across diverse environments.
