The Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) is an automated light rail system with 26 universally accessible stations across Greater Montréal. The officers from the Safety and Intervention Program need to stand out as safety officials, but with a distinguishable appearance from law enforcement officials. They needed to be authoritarian, yet approachable.
This award-winning program consists of a shirt, tactical pants, and a 3 in 1 jacket, all manufactured with lightweight, breathable fabrics. The 3 in 1 jacket includes an outer shell made with a 3 ply’s breathable membrane and a fleece inner jacket. This jacket combines durability, stretch, waterproofness, wind protection and breathability in a lightweight shell. To ensure visibility, it is customized with reflective bands and lettering.
The FlexForce, or “stretchy” pants, as they are fondly called, are a unique blend of nylon for abrasion resistance and strength, Lycra for stretch and recovery, and polyester for wicking and comfort. Fade and shrink resistant, these wash and wear pants are stretchy and an end-user favorite. The pants are paired with a SuperShirt®, the first ever duty shirt with stretch side panels for unsurpassed fit, comfort and a tailored appearance right out of the box.
