Unhappy with its uniform performance, the Omaha Police Department spent 4-6 months wear testing different uniforms in both male and female cuts. By the end of this period, the choice was unanimous: the department was moving to Flying Cross Core Flex.
The new uniform is lightweight yet durable and projects a crisp, clean traditional look. And with a fabric composition that is 96% polyester and 4% spandex, the uniforms have natural stretch capabilities, allowing the 920 officers to perform at their absolute best with minimum restriction. Best of all, Core Flex is available in both a men’s and women’s fit.
OPD rolled out the uniform in the fall of 2023 with large stocking orders from the local dealer. Feedback from veteran patrol officers has been positive, citing the Core Flex uniform as the most comfortable they’ve ever worn.
