2024 Award Profile: Canada Post, Logistik Unicorp

Jul 1, 2024 | Awards

Canada Post wanted to revamp the group’s uniform, while at the same time improving its practical features. In particular, it sought to enhance comfort by incorporating stretch materials, while ensuring that all  garments were suitable for a variety of body types. They required a program for over 4,000 employees, who worked in a variety of units including delivery support, fleet, outdoor and indoor.

Logistik designed this award-winning collection featuring a variety of pieces that work easily together; there are two striped shirts with blue and white lines, in long and short sleeves; and optional shirts, long or short sleeved, which have been fashioned with a shirt collar to give a more polished look while remaining casual. The shirts were redesigned to allow them to be worn both inside and outside the trousers, made possible by the addition of a small opening on the sides of the shirt. The sleeves can also be rolled up for a more casual look, using a fixed inside sleeve under button.

Users also have a choice of pull-up trousers, cargo pants or shorts or a skort. Pull-up trousers are particularly popular with women because of their adjusted fit, comfort and look. In response to the requirement for a durable yet stretchy fabric, Logistik’s textiles team developed four new materials for this specific collection, including a move toward blends. Thus, former 100% polyester garments are now a blend of 35%/65% cotton/poly.
