Shoppers Drug Mart is a Canadian retail pharmacy chain based in Toronto, Ontario. It has more than 1,300 stores in nine provinces/two territories and over 50,000+ employees. It is critical for all touchpoints, whether that be customers facing, internal team members or SDM partners, that the brand be easily identified and well represented.
The heart of the branding is the SDM logo and a high quality, bright white pharmacist jacket. Utilizing contrasting shades of blue for front line staff and bright white fabrics with blue accents in pharmacy provides just the right amount of pop to the uniforms. The combination of blues and quality control on brightness of white lab coat fabric creates a collection in line with SDM brand colors that looks very professional and is easily identifiable to customers.
This Image of the Year Award-winning collection created by Unisync includes short sleeve polos, full zip sweaters, woven dress shirts, and the program’s aforementioned centerpiece, a high quality pharmacist lab jacket. Pharmacists, who are the store owners, wanted a garment that was bright white, with a soft luxurious feel. Unisync selected a brushed cotton/poly blended fabric to create a softer feel, and increased the fabric weight to over 240 grams per square meter to give a sturdier, more structured look to the jacket. The fabric PH level was also closely monitored and controlled to manage the risk of the jacket turning yellow over time while on the shelf.
