Safety and comfort are at the forefront of this Best Dressed Public Safety Department winning program. The department strives to maintain a universal professional image. This is balanced by following NFPA safety guidelines with recommendations from our workforce. Most uniform items are wear tested to ensure the best and safest product is being purchased.
Station wear manufactured by Crew Boss with Tecasafe plus provides fibers that contain active moisture management. This moves moisture away from the wearer while generating an evaporative cooling effect in warmer environments, and regulates temperature in cooler climates.Tecasafe PLUS with Coolderm Technology is a hypoallergenic textile that’s extremely comfortable and easy to wear. Inherently flame-resistant, the protection comes “built in” and will never wash or wear out, It is engineered as a more durable and comfortable option to chemically treated FR fabrics. Each uniform is completed with department patch, rank and namestrip.
The dress uniform is manufactured by Fechheimer, and consists of a custom single breasted and double breasted dresscoat, pant and shirt. Custom tailored to meet agency needs, the coat is a 55%poly/45%wool blend, and comes with a serge weave and13-13½oz weight for cold environments. The jacket comes fully lined and is embellished with custom buttons that are applied at Muscatellos. Dress uniforms are further embellished specifically by rank and years of service.
