Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance

Job Summary

The Sr. Manager, Quality Assurance will provide strategic vision, policy and leadership for our Quality Assurance program. This role will ensure that all company products meet the highest level of quality, product safety and customer requirements. The Sr. Manager, QA, will develop and implement quality control procedures for use with all manufacturing and vendor partners, to ensure we always remain a top-tier quality supplier of apparel and accessories in our focus markets.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Partners with vendors and direct reports to ensure continuous improvement of quality levels
  • Advocates for product quality, safety and compliance throughout the organization
  • Communicates quality goals and commitments throughout supply chain, then implements apparel industry QA best practices to meet those goals and commitments
  • Ensure all standard operating procedures and training are documented
  • Supervises, coaches and develops direct reports to help them achieve both corporate and department goals.
  • Develops and manages a global network of employees to ensure vendor-partner factories are visited on a regular basis
  • Creates and maintains key initiatives scorecard and reporting, and provides analysis, trend information , and reports as required by senior management
  • Collaborates with Product Development to ensure new product designs can be manufactured to meet our quality standards
  • Partners with Marketing and Design to ensure that our product packing and appearance meet our strategic goals and promote our brand awareness

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED Education/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s preferred
  • 10 years of experience in apparel industry QA Manager role
  • Thorough understanding of quality design and control, manufacturing, and factory execution knowledge
  • Experience in high-end retail sales and manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of patterns, embroidery, as well as Cut-and-Sew operations
  • Broad product experience in both men’s and women’s apparel
  • Garment experience must include tops, bottoms and suiting, woven and knit fabrics
  • Ability to travel (domestic and international) for extended time periods (60% of the time)
  • English as first language required, Spanish and/or Mandarin Chinese is ideal

  • Textile background
  • Bachelor’s degree
