Merchandising Project Manager

JOB SUMMARY

The role of the merchandising project manager will be to develop and manage various activities, all of which support a project’s resolution. Projects could include, but are not limited to; onboarding of new customer accounts as well as new brand partnerships, developing and maintaining merchandise databases, managing new merchandise timelines and/or product lifecycle calendars and ultimately facilitating and driving a project towards completion.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and facilitates timelines and project task tracking while maintaining an open action item list and implementation plan
  • Performs a variety of complex tasks that require data research and supporting documentation for proposed solutions
  • Supports and maintains relationships with cross-functional departments and develops relationships with key contacts by reacting quickly to requests often with tight deadlines
  • Facilitates new business projects, such as onboarding of new customer accounts or external brand partnerships
  • Responsible for setting and leading meetings with all key stakeholders involved to track progress, communicate deadlines, and push for time sensitive deliverables
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects that will help optimize system processes and streamline implementation strategies
  • Manage current and prospective brand engagement requirements per their contractual parameters and timelines by linking all necessary stakeholders within departments such as Design, Sourcing, Marketing, Sales, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED SKILL/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of data-driven analysis including analyzing, reconciling, and summarizing large amounts of data with precision and high accuracy
  • 3+ years of experience with client onboarding
  • Experience working independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment with all levels of the organization
  • Experience identifying, defining and resolving problems in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with an acute attention to detail
  • Highly effective oral and written communication skills; both internal teams and external customer facing
  • Experience responding to rapidly changing demands, prioritizing and delivering on-time results
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project or similar project management software
  • Ability to quickly learn, adapt to different software platforms including experience utilizing ERP systems

 

PREFERERED QUALIFCATIONS

  • Apparel industry experience a plus
  • SAP experience
