The NAUMD global network is continuing its push beyond North America. The association has just signed on as a supporting organization of ITMA 2023, the world’s largest largest textile and garment technology exhibition. Held once every four years since 1951, the exhibition brings together exhibitors from 45 countries and 194 trade associations.

The theme for ITMA 2023 is Transforming the World of Textiles, spotlighting advanced materials, automation & digital future, innovative technologies and sustainability & circularity. ITMA has also introduced a new chapter on composite technology, to enable interested industry members to seize opportunities in this exciting sector.

Digitalization and sustainability concerns have created enormous ripple effects in the textile, garment and fashion industry, increasing the demand to work collaboratively along the entire value chain. ITMA 2023 brings the entire textile and garment industry together once every four years to discover the latest innovations and solutions for a more sustainable future,” noted Rick Levine, NAUMD executive director. “NAUMD is proud to be part of such a collaborative effort.”
