A portion of the message from the opening statement: "When the pandemic became widespread in early 2020, our industry had a moment to pause and pull back as we all tried to understand how the real impacts of COVID-19 would affect global supply chains and thereby our mission. 2021 was a year where the Institute and our industry partners reaped numerous benefits from the previous year’s opportunity to focus on the strategy for expanding programs and regions to best meet our 2030 science-based targets. We released two critical reports that informed our work and the subsequent acceleration of resources — The Roadmap to Net Zero with World Resources Institute and Unlocking the Trillion-Dollar Opportunity Fashion Decarbonisation Opportunity with Fashion for Good and HSBC.
