Hilton embarked on a rebranding initiative and wanted a modern, updated apparel program that would emulate their modern brand architecture. Enter Design Collective, who leveraged industry textile innovation to create lighter, more comfortable performance-based fashions.
The merchandising strategy was to build a “capsule” wardrobe that could move effortlessly throughout the property, allowing employees to curate their own wardrobe based on their sensibility. There are 25,000 wearers in the program with job types that include door/bell, front desk, housekeeping, engineering, and banquet.
Garment types include suiting, jackets, tunics, slacks, dresses, skirts, dress shirt, vests, active pants. Lapis blue is used extensively throughout the collection and serves to reinforce the brand. The housekeeping outfits feature Design Collective’s Xcellerate line which was developed to meet the similar demands of current retails of an athleisure dominated marketplace.
