The color orange played a prominent role for one company in this year’s Image of the Year Awards. Quick service restaurant Popeyes walked away with a top prize, as did their uniform supplier, HALO Branded Solutions.
HALO and Popeyes worked together to design a new uniform supporting over 3,700 restaurant locations and outfitting all on-site team members, line/prep cool, shift leader and managers with a new set of uniforms. The primary requirement? That the uniform was completely redesigned with a focus on being “unapologetically orange.”
Of course, there were other must haves. Uniforms had to be stylish and functional, with features that benefit both front and back of house team members. Comfort was top of mind, as was giving team members pieces they were proud to wear.
Solutions included an innovative, custom-dyed duplex cotton/poly blend fabric which offered the comfort of cotton and the performance of recycled poly blend. Aprons are affixed with patches and embroidered with the Popeyes logo while manager shirts are decorated with pocket trim and embroidery. Headwear options include a puff and flat embroidery and a customer dyed sublimated underbill decorated with the Popeyes pattern. Chalkboard name badges complete the winning look.
The entry process for the 2024 Image of the Year Awards as well as NAUMD’s other recognition programs will open late fall. Check the website and keep reading The Pulse for updates, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
