NAUMD's 2010 Military Town Hall Meeting was held with a packed audience at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas! The program included introduction of a number of new programs and welcome to new armed forces representatives Richard Keefer from the US Air Force and Col. Kevin Stoddard of the US Defense Supply Center in addition to returning speakers James Mello of the US Coast Guard and Dave Gerringer US Army Clothing & Equipment Department.
The program allowed for numerous attendee questions to be responded to as well as idea sharing between all parties!
Copies of the Presentations are available to NAUMD Members who attended the Convention & Exposition w.Full Registration.
ABOUT NAUMD's Military Affairs Committee & Programs
NAUMD provides many services for Military Uniform Program providers. Among these are the annual NAUMD Military Town Hall Meeting. During this exciting Town Hall members hear from each of the armed services on their upcoming needs, as well as the DSCP who distribute uniform program items to all.
Members also have their questions answered by these purchasing executives as well.
In addition to the Town Hall Meetings the Association provides information and access to key players in the Military Uniform programs for each of the armed services and also provides updates on items needed. Members in good standing may join the NAUMD Military Affairs Committee and have a voice in the focus and direction of the Association's Programs & Services!

NAUMD held a working meeting with the Clothing & Textiles Directorate leadership under the guidance of Col. Kurt Wilson, Supply Chain Manager. The focus of the meeting was to determine how to assist NAUMD Members in meeting the needs of the Armed Forces Uniform Program! NAUMD representatives also met with Michael McCall Director of Small Business and Joann Gatica Small Business Specialist on ways for NAUMD Members to secure all the information and process to do business with the DSCP.

As they say – one man’s trash is another’s gold! This inaugural edition of the NAUMD Surplus Products Buyers Guide has been designed to offer an industry-wide “classified ad” newsletter for members to offer others their unsold products! The newsletter is circulated to all NAUMD members and on the website to the industry at large! While the members listing the items have not been able sell them – YOUR customers may have a need for them. NAUMD provides these classified ads as an NAUMD Member service! It is our hope that you will add some direct profits to your bottom line by either selling or buying these goods!

NAUMD’s Image Apparel Institute Committee will present a full set of education programs during the 2011 “Innovation in Action” Convention & Exposition at the Renaissance Orlando at Sea World, April 29-May 2 in Orlando Florida. NAUMD 2010-11 Board of Directors Announced
(NEW YORK, NY) March 9, 2010 – The North-American Association of Uniform Manufacturers & Distributors (NAUMD) today announced the election of its Board of Directors and Officers for 2010-11. In voting by the NAUMD Membership, the Executive Committee included: elected to a 2-year term as Chairman, Steve Zalkin, Alamar Uniforms Company, along with Vice Chairman, Steve Robinson, Liberty Uniform Manufacturing Co., Inc., Treasurer Jim Tewmey, VF Imagewear, Inc. and Brian Garry, Cintas as Member at Large. NAUMD Memorandum: End the Violence!
The North-American Association of Uniform Manufacturers & Distributors, whose membership faithfully serves the needs of the Public Safety Community, we are truly concerned by the recent increase in attacks on Police Officers, Fire Fighters and others in the community whose job is to protect us all.
The Lakewood, Washington Police Officers who were ambushed and executed in a senseless and despicable act of violence on November 30, 2009 are yet one more horrific example of this increasing violence against those who protect us.
